The next Xperia XA3, Xperia XA3 Ultra and Xperia L3 smartphones from Sony were recently certified by the Bluetooth GIS.
This fact and its 3C certification in China means that it is ready for its scheduled presentation at the Mobile World Congress 2019 in Barcelona on February 25.
Although 3C certification does not confirm the key specifications of the smartphone, it does reveal that the Xperia XA3 will be included with a 5V 1500mA charger, at least in its marketing in China.
Sony Xperia XA3 is likely to be equipped with a 5.9-inch IPS LCD with Full HD+ resolution of 1080 x 2160 and an aspect ratio of 18:9.
Unlike recent mid-range smartphones from most other Android OEMs, the upcoming Xperia XA3 will have relatively thick bezels on all sides.
In terms of performance, however, the smartphone will not be a disappointment. It is expected to work with a chipset from Qualcomm Snapdragon 660 IEA, which remains one of the most popular mid-range mobile processors on the market.
The 14nm octa-core processor is expected to be coupled with 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Like its predecessor, the Xperia XA3 will probably also include a microSD card slot for further storage expansion.
Connectivity features will include dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 5.0 Low Energy, GPS with A-GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, 4G VoLTE, and a USB Type C port.
In terms of software, the smartphone will work with the Android 9.0 Pie operating system from the start. It replaces the Xperia XA2.
Along with the Xperia XA3, we also expect to see the launch of the Xperia XA3 Ultra and Xperia L3 smartphones at next month’s event. All three smartphones are likely to go on sale in certain markets before the end of the first quarter.
