Samsung does not plan to be left behind in the battle to lead the market for smartwatches and has already announced the official launch of Samsung Gear S2 for October.
It will appear with two models: the Samsung Gear S2 and S2 Gear Classic, although they are essentially the same device with different finishes, just like the different editions that have been announced of the Apple watch. The biggest difference between the two models is that the first comes with and the other without 4G telephony capabilities, although they both have Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and NFC. And the model that supports 4G also has GPS.
But there is good news for future users of the Samsung Gear S2. Unlike the previous ones smartwatches from Samsung, it will be able to be used with most Android phones and the company has even started talking about compatibility with iOS. Something seems to be changing in the Korean company.
Samsung Gear S2: Specifications
It incorporates a 1.2-inch Super AMOLED screen, with a 302 dpi 360 x 360 resolution. It is 11.4mm thick, so it will be somewhat heavier than the Huawei Watch, but lighter than most of its rivals.
The operating system Tizen with which it works, it has a rotating bezel to which you can add physical controls for the operation of the touch screen, so that they can be configured for navigation actions such as scrolling, zooming and adjusting levels, such as volumes and brightness.

Both versions are waterproof and feature 4GB of storage and 512MB of RAM. Inside it will be beating a dual-core processor of 1 GHz Exynos. Samsung has promised 2-3 days of 300mAh battery life, but it will be better to wait for its launch in October to verify if these consumptions are real in continued use.
